    Linnégatan 2
Gallery in a modern office building

Next to Stureplan in central Stockholm, Humlegården, a real estate company within Länsförsäkringsgruppen, has three buildings incorporated into one, with a total of 10300 m2 of rental space.

Humlegården turned to TEA to rebuild the entrance to Linnégatan 2, an office building constructed between 1963 and 1966, with a consistently high standard and outstanding views across Humlegården.

Complete in 2013, the purpose of the renovation, which also included interior design, was to provide the tenants with a welcoming setting for their respective reception areas.

Certain elements of the building’s original character remain as part of the new entrance as the walls and the floors have been preserved and renovated. The lobby has been opened up towards the street outside with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and an illuminated roof, which protrudes out over the external entrance.

On the inside, the entrance hall has been converted into a mini-gallery for the artwork of Hans Hedberg. Hedberg’s wall relief that he made for the building in the 1960s is now accompanied by two ceramic pieces of art displayed on a podium
