Care and nursing home at the town square
During the last 8 years, TEA has designed several modern care and nursing homes, from early sketches and site drafts to completed construction documents.
In 2015, TEA was commissioned by Vectura Fastigheter to analyze the use of a block that were included in the development of a new district in Sigtuna. To solve the task in accordance with the planning regulations, a care and nursing home on four floors with premises on the ground floor towards the new square formation was proposed, as well as apartment for elderly on four floors and an attic on the southern part of the site. The block has been given variation and facade division with bricks and plaster colors as a reference to the small town of Sigtuna. On the separated court yard there is a greenhouse and a place for cultivation for the residents. The project is under construction.
